Boy! Building this website is really kicking my butt. Turns out whatever I did back in the geocities days wasn't even close to html (or CSS) for that matter. Being used to industrial automation and it's manufacturer-specific programming languages, or trying to patch something in Excel and finding the proper formula on the web and then applying it on my work, I figured this would be a walk in the park. I'm baffled by the fact that most of the things I try don't work when I refresh the page. Clearly I've had more success with HTML, since every little modification I've done apart from the colors have not worked from the CSS file.
Here's to hoping it will get better, the learning curve is steep for now, but hopefully it will level off in time.

I have hit a wall as far as body width adjustment goes, I'm sure I'm gonna laugh about this one day but right now I'm just about ready to throw this thinkpad as far as I can chuck it (which is not that far really, this boi be chonky!) Plus I'm not scared of breaking the thing, more like I scared of what IT will break wherever it lands. Anyhow, I will now try and focus on adding content to the site (which is the part I was reeeallly looking forward to) and eventually go back to formatting/presentation. For now this is satisfactory to me (which is what counts amiright?).
Was about to finish this right there but wanted to underline that this is exactly what I wanted. Could AI build the perfect website? Probably. Would it be mine? No, just some generic shit built around the same uncreative elements it vomits for the masses. This exercise is doing exactly what I wanted... pushing me out of my comfort zone and learning new things (yay learning!).
